Usage Standards

1. General

LIKUID.COMemploys a Usage Standards to maintain the integrity and performance of its computer equipment. In a shared web hosting environment, multiple clients share the resources of a given server. It is therefore important not to use your hosting account in a way that negatively affects other LIKUID.COMclients. Our Usage Standards describe what is and what is not permitted on our servers. By using our services, you agree to comply with our Usage Standards. Non-compliance with the Usage Standards may result in the suspension or termination of your account without prior notice. LIKUID.COMremains the sole arbiter of what constitutes a breach of the Usage Standards.

2. Illegal Activities

You may not use LIKUID.COMservices for illegal purposes. You agree to comply with all applicable regulations, laws, or governmental rules. You agree not to be entitled to any refund of fees paid to LIKUID.COMif, for any reason, LIKUID.COMacts punitively regarding abusive use.

3. Spam Policy

LIKUID.COMhas a zero-tolerance policy for spam. It is prohibited to send unsolicited emails from or to our servers under any circumstances. Any incident caused by bulk unsolicited email sending will incur minimum fees of $150.00, plus taxes.

4. Email Sending

Shared Hosting

Our shared hosting accounts are not designed for simultaneous sending of large quantities of emails. There is a limit on the number of emails you can send per hour and per account. The number of emails per hour varies depending on the plan you choose, as described on the LIKUID.COMwebsite. Emails sent beyond the authorized limit will not be delivered. Emails sent beyond the 300th in a given hour will not be sent to their recipient. Mailing lists have a maximum of 500 recipients. If you send more than 25 emails at once, you must activate the "throttling" feature in your email software to allow a delay of at least 10 seconds between each send to avoid overloading the server. You cannot attempt to bypass this limit by combining multiple hosting accounts. If you want to send legitimate emails in bulk, please inquire with our sales team about our Email Campaign. You cannot send emails with attachments larger than 10 MB. If you need to share larger files, we encourage you to upload your files to your hosting account and email a hyperlink to the file.

Dedicated Servers and VPS

There are no limits on legitimate email sending on dedicated servers or VPS.

5. Backups

Shared Hosting

The disk space of a web hosting cannot be used to store backups of your files, or to store files that are not directly related to your website. You can temporarily keep one backup of your hosting account on the server for a maximum of 24 hours. Please do not make copies of your backups. Any manual account backup must be performed during off-peak periods, between midnight and 6:00 AM. It is strictly forbidden to generate backup copies of your account between 6:00 AM and 11:59 PM, whether using the backup tool offered by LIKUID.COM, automated tools or scripts (including third-party backup services), or backup modules such as a WordPress plugin. LIKUID.COMregularly backs up most standard hosting accounts on its servers. Due to the significant resource usage by the backup process, LIKUID.COMcannot guarantee the creation or restoration of backups for accounts exceeding 10 gigabytes ("GB") of data, or 200,000 files and folders (including emails, databases, regular files, statistics, and configuration files). Accounts exceeding these limits may no longer be automatically backed up. Manual backups will still be possible at any time. To reactivate automatic backups, the Client must reduce the data size in their account to less than 20 GB and less than 200,000 files and folders and then contact the technical support team. Files larger than 1 GB will not be included in external backups.

Dedicated Servers and VPS

The creation of backup copies does not occur automatically and is left to the discretion of the client, unless the external backup service has been purchased. It is usually recommended to perform occasional data backups to an off-server disk. Upon special request, and for an additional fee, LIKUID.COMcan set up automatic backup copies of dedicated server or Cloud content.

6. Resource Usage

Shared Web Hosting

To ensure the reliability of our services, a hosting account on the shared platform cannot use more resources than would be required by a regular website during regular activities. An account cannot use more than 5% of the total server resources for a period exceeding 60 seconds. This includes processor cycles, memory usage, disk space, and bandwidth. Accounts exceeding the permitted resource usage may be interrupted without prior notice to prevent serious service degradation. LIKUID.COMwill attempt to notify the client as soon as possible and work with them to resolve any resource usage issues. Often, such problems can be resolved by repairing a faulty script, disabling an application that uses a lot of resources, or banning malicious IP addresses from your account. Clients who systematically use excessive resources may see their accounts go offline for a few moments and may be forced to transfer their account to a dedicated or private server, where resource usage limits are not imposed. LIKUID.COMserver resources cannot be used for purposes other than hosting data for your websites. Server resources cannot be resold or used for data processing outside the context of offering web pages or other data accessible by the web to visitors to your site. Please note that a shared hosting environment is not suitable for resource-intensive site requests. In such cases, solutions such as a dedicated server or a virtual private server are recommended. Dedicated Servers and VPS

Clients operating a dedicated server or VPS have full control over the resources of their servers and can use them to their full capacity, without specific limitations.

7. Disk Usage

Shared Hosting

To protect our clients from users consuming excessive resources, we have established the following rules regarding disk space usage in your hosting account: You cannot use your web hosting space to keep files that are not directly related to your website and that have no direct link in at least one section of your website. You cannot keep more than 5,000 files in a directory, or a total of files and folders ("inodes") in your hosting account of more than: 100,000 inodes with the basic plan 200,000 inodes with the unlimited plan 300,000 inodes with the Enterprise plan You cannot sell or offer storage space on our servers to third parties outside the context of our Reseller service. You cannot increase your disk usage by more than 10 GB within a 24-hour period.

Dedicated Servers

Clients operating a dedicated server have full control over the use of the hard drives of their servers and can use them to their full capacity, without specific limitations.

Infringing Material

LIKUID.COMmay suspend or close your account if, by using our services, you repeatedly or flagrantly violate the copyrights of other parties.

Illegal Content

LIKUID.COMmay suspend or close your account if, by using our services, you publish or distribute content that is illegal under Canadian or international laws.

13. Liability Limits

Shared Hosting Services

LIKUID.COMis not responsible for losses or damages incurred as a result of using our shared hosting services. You use our services at your own risk. It is your responsibility to back up your files and ensure that your website functions correctly.

Dedicated Server and VPS Services

LIKUID.COMis not responsible for losses or damages incurred as a result of using our dedicated server or VPS services. You use our services at your own risk. It is your responsibility to back up your files and ensure that your server functions correctly.

14. Modifications

LIKUID.COMreserves the right to modify or update its Usage Standards at any time and without prior notice. It is the client's responsibility to periodically check the Usage Standards for updates. By using our services, you agree to be bound by the Usage Standards in effect at the time of using our services.
